Popup Cinema, Film Festivals & Outdoor Screenings

Bringing the popup cinema experience to diverse outdoor and indoor spaces in the southwest of England has been part of the Blackbeam Cinematic remit since the company was set up. Our outdoor cinema sessions are part of the summer timetable at outdoor locations across Devon, while our range of indoor system, including 3D capability, have been used for film festivals, social events and indoor one off screenings.

We have a track record of providing immersive filmic experiences against stunning natural backdrops – from the heart of the English countryside to coastal beauty spots. Giant inflatable screens, high definition projection systems and top of the range sound systems ensure that just about anywhere can be turned into an impromptu movie viewing venue.

Clients Blackbeam Cinematic has worked with to present outdoor cinema include The Landmark Theatre (Ilfracombe), The National Trust, Dynamic Dunescapes and the Braunton Burrows UNESCO biosphere, Exeter’s Big Screen in the Park and Seaton Outdoor Cinema.

We provide audio/visual cinema systems for the Chagford Film Festival and the Exeter Phoenix indoor and outdoor events. We also supply bespoke screens for corporate events and conferences.

Film Festival Screens

Blackbeam Cinematic works with film festival clients to provide indoor and outdoor screens, including 3D cinema capabilities. There is no venue which cannot accommodate a screen and we have a screen that will fit most venues – large and small, alongside crystal clear cinematic sound systems.

Immersive Cinema Events

From Star Wars beamed onto a big screen against a sand dune backdrop emoting the planet of Tatooine, to beachside showings of Jaws, immersive cinema experiences have the power to engage and bring awe!

By bringing in a popup cinema dynamic to events and festivals, audiences get to see some very cool movies in some very cool places. This shot is taken from a screening of the iconic Red Shoes at Exeter Cathedral for the BFI.
